Danishblunt@Danishblunt What temperature could rog phone 3 reach when graphic heavy game is at max graphics settings runs on it?https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/222133#Comment_222133
Explain to me what it does. Unless you play in sahara in peak temps I fail to see if will do anything different.

jincloud12It completely depends on your ambient temps, what game, case and so on.https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/222182#Comment_222182

Danishblunt@Danishblunt if the SoC can tolerate high operating temperatures, can your hands handle it while gaming? I think the cooling down of device isn't solely to protect just the hardware but the user as well.https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/222656#Comment_222656

In terms of temperature the Rog3 can sustain much higher temperature than the Rog5 and Rog6 can because of how the internal cooling is designed. The SOC can operate at 105c without having any damage whatsoever, however other components on the logicboard cannot. in the case of the Rog3, the SoC has been somewhat isolated from the rest via the back heatsink, which allows the phone to get hotter than most without any real danger.

jincloud12The Iphones feel cool to the touch, but the SOC is hitting 105c because iphones don't bother tranfering the heat out the phone, hence the heavy throttling.https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/222663#Comment_222663

DanishbluntSo can you handle gaming on graphic heavy game for long periods of time on rog phone 3 without trying to cool it down? Hence why it was asked in OP if aero active cooler 6 will be compatible cos of it's potential to be a great accessory for rog phones.https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/222717#Comment_222717

Remember the ROG3 isolated somewhat isolated the SoC on its internal heatsink and then gets cooled by the fact that the hot air escapes through the hole.
The Rog5 and 6 act like an oven, they trap all the heat inside, causing damage and problems. Hence the Rog3 is nowhere neat as hot as the Rog5/6 when passively cooled.
