Hi, my ROG Phone 5 has been randomly restarting since yesterday. Earlier yesterday, I also noticed that the SIM card wasn't working properly. To troubleshoot, I turned on Airplane Mode, and the phone started working fine without any restarts.
I thought a factory reset might fix the issue, so I went ahead and reset the phone. The reset completed successfully and erased all my data. However, now while setting up the phone mean on the welcome page after factory reset. It keeps restarting every few seconds just like before. Now I can't even finish my phone setup and if I don't, I also won't be able to turn on the airplane mode. Meaning the phone is now in useless state.
Additional Information:
The phone was fully updated with the latest version provided by ASUS.
I believe it was running Android 11 at the time of the reset.
There were no system updates available before I performed the reset.
Even after removing the SIM card, the phone continues to restart on its own.
Please help me with this issue. Any suggestions or solutions would be greatly appreciated.
