Hi, I just brought a new rog phone 3 global set & I'm confused about many things & don't want to damage my new phone. Hope u all can answer my question.
1. What is xmode?
2. When or in what condition that we need to use xmode when playing game?
3. Notice that when I play a game with high graphic, the CPU & GPU sometime reach 80% and above. Will Long hour playing with GPU & CPU 80% above will damage the phone?
4. What is the save range for temperature celsius?

I used the phone 3 months and sometimes I even played Cod Mobile for 6-7 hours in a row and didn't have a single problem.
When temp reach 38-39 degrees in games it starts lagging a bit, so with X-mode the temp go higher but the game stay very smooth (Cod mobile is only game needing it for me).
You can expect bugs or crash sometimes because software is still not very good, but it's a matter of time.
Once I didn't don't turn off phone for 2 weeks and is all ok, this phone is 100% reliable as my previous phone from Samsung.

Thank you for the answer. Im concern coz I HV a friend who has a bad rog phone 2 experience. when he play game, phone suddenly dead when GPU suddenly reach 99%. He cannot turn on the phone anymore.

Yes, there was a problem in terms of the motherboard. The power delivery was underspecced hence it would die on overload etc. This has been fixed on newer Rog2 motherboards and Rog3 didnt have it thus far.

Well,all of your questions are already answered but an advice Incan give you is
Don't worry about heat
And never blame the phone for its performance,mobile games are unoptimised with the only exceptions I can give being pubg Cod,maybe genshin impact and Less demanding games like feh or Pokémon masters EX
Still these games are capped,and it will take a long time until they get optimised so if you see some lag at some point which will happen for 1 to 2 seconds,then don't blame the phone
