I have brought device August 12 ,2020 through flipkart first sale at 6auhust. I was very happy until i open netflix ,it has vert bad black crush issue even at full brightness ,in 50pecent brightness colour washed out heavy black crush issue is this hardware or software issue??anyway im just gonna refund ....but i asked some of YouTubers they have none issue ,but for fellow customers only have this😓. I decided to live with this but some of units have no issue why i wanna live with this issue for years so i try to get refund and but 12gb varient.
In YouTube crush issue is little low when compared to netflix and amazon prime ,rather than that this dev is beast 😍
I have noticed heat in aero active coller side(40°to43°) always while playing pupg at 90hz,balanced,extream . although I'm staying in AC room 22°c all time!

skailash2001Ya it was there from the beginning.. but want to know whether it's for all devices or just mine@salmannaser The green tint when display is off has been there from the beginning. Don't worry bro that is not an issue. Try zooming into a fully black image and you will still see it. It is just the nature of the display.

CpzSpamming like bots? LOL. That seems to be more of your genre. I simply expressed my POV on the whole thing. The toxicity that people like you spread on professional forums is just pathetic.https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/108196#Comment_108196

Also, Yes, I have the phone and unlike whining like you, I am waiting for the official update that helps with it. Thus, calm down Kick Battowski and stop judging people for no reason. Peace.

anjubunny123It is ironical that no other OEM has "advertised" it either. And yes, the amount of toxicity and hate is filth. So, I will call it that. As for the issue and youtubers not facing it, some of them might have not used it at low brightness, some maybe have accepted the same in high Hz panels and some just chose not to highlight it. You cannot blame ASUS for it, can you? Maybe just ping in your favourite YouTuber and take his opinion.https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/108196#Comment_108196
maybe asus should have advertised ,warning :heavy black crush conditions apply bla bla bla
then users don't have right to comment or share thier pathetic experience
it's not users fault becuase they weren't ready to face such a serious issue without being warned.they were having High expectations after looking at asus promotions and youtubers reviews (it's funny no youtuber experienced black crush )
when a user finds this level of black crush just after unboxing their phone they would be devastated after spending so much so they will definitely share their frustration in the forum . it's not upto you that to name their comments as filth
anyone would be in serious agony on seeing their new phone display playing videos like wierd cartoonish square black grey patches
as asus never mentioned the problem in promotions ,they need to bear the blame and frustration of users they got no choice.

Also, in case you have access to internet to post long comments as these and whine, I would request you to please Google the issue and see the forums of other OEMs. You'll surprise yourself.
Peace

imperatorrajExactly every oem forum has tons tons of display related posts (especially high refresh rate ones)https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/108401#Comment_108401

I did post a lot of sources in my comments above whether it be oneplus or samsung flagships who "supposedly" use the best available panels have display issues too whether it be tint, black crush, retention, black bar around punch hole etc
Just see amazon reviews for oneplus 8pro that phone had dumpster fire sales and the review section is filled with complains
Even the ultra expensive note 20 ultra has various display complains

He has repeatedly said that asus is working on it. 58 was just a partial fix future updates will probably reduce it further
What more do you guys want asus to "acknowledge" smh
Plus all the big you tubers, tech sites won't always tell you the truth regarding any phone
Remember oneplus 8pro with "A+ display mate rating" we all know how that turned out to be lol
At the end of the day it's the users who report stuff and some of the honest YT channels
amoled tech is a eye candy for sure but it does come with its fair share of disadvantages
