It seems the Widevine L3 only support SD according to https://help.netflix.com/en/node/116633,
@Gustav_ASUS Do you know if ROG 3 has the capability to support Widevine L1?

Not using Netflix for now, but I'm unable to update Netflix on my phone. Update fails when trying to upgrade via playstore but updates can be installed through apk

I think u have to go service centre to update some kind of key to enable l1

My phone is running the latest Android 11 release (18.0410.2106.138), and I'm not having this issue. It shows L1 is enabled and I have full HD streaming.

If you're running an older version (either the previous A11 update intended for Taiwan or A10), I would suggest updating to the latest version of A11.
If you ARE running the latest update, then something's wrong. I'd suggest contacting both Netflix's support and ASUS's customer support (the ZenTalk forums aren't exactly the most direct support avenue).
[Edit] Also, I have Netflix version 7.114.0 build 6 35548 installed. This is the most recent version available to me through the Play Store.
