fpm2011Can you guarantee it buddy..... Whereas the asus people are quiet about this... Who are you to suggest buying new asus phones.....ROG 3 was using Wuhan Tianma display. (a China factory manufacturing mediocre but not flagship level display)
For ROG 5 the screen is upgraded to Samsung display (Zenfone 7 was using, rog 5 uses a newer generation calibrated for gaming)
There was no user reporting blackcrush issue at Zentalk Zenfone 7 forum.
I believe that the black crush problem also wont happen at ROG 5
If you can resell your ROG 3, switching to ROG 5 would be a wise choice~

fpm2011The Tianma display which has been used in the Rog2 doesn't support DC dimming to my knowledge but the Rog3 does. The zenfone is not using a samsung display, the zenfone uses a visionox OLED panel, I know this from the kernel sourcecode.ROG 3 was using Wuhan Tianma display.
