It isn't what you have done.
Basically, he is referring to the original manufacturer device which is a Tencent model. This usually have Tencent written on the back of the phone, but not sure how relevant this is still. Recent models usually have CN firmwares which is mainly for Mainland China. The dealer basically changes this to WW (global / International) firmware. The changing process is called flashing, thus the term "crossflashed".
In an ideal world, dealers where you brought the phone from would replace this but in the real world this isn't the case because dealers are making money from it. So if you have the option, take it back to the dealer.
If this is not an option, then this is where you probably need to do it yourself if you don't want to live with the issue.
