Unlock TF300T

Firmware Version: 4.2.1
Rooted or not: No

I'm having no luck unlocking my TF300T. Great tablet but I'd like to run a newer version of android so I can give it to my kids for watching streaming services... which requires it to be unlocked. The Asus Unlock app does not function when I run it... says something about a network error.
@Christine_ASUS (maybe any moderator) I saw you helped others in different discussions and so I was hoping you can help me. Thanks very much!
