Are all-in-one computers as good as desktops?

I am looking for all-in-one computers for my kid’s classes and homework as they take up less room space and offer more screen space.
I am considering the ASUS All-in-One Computers. But, I have also seen a range of Lenovo All-in-One computers.
Please suggest the best all in one computer for me.
