ZenWiFi Pro ET12: Cannot access router in local network

Nesuprantu

I have 3 mesh routers: ZenWiFi Pro ET12. They are set to: "Wireless router mode / AiMesh Router mode (Default)"

After upgrading router firmware to 3.0.0.4.388_24610 I was not able to access it locally via 192.168.50.1 or any other local device. The issue was that Default Gateway was undefined and setting it to 192.168.50.1 fixed the issue.

Several weeks later, I am having same issue, but Default Gateway is set to same value. I am not sure what the issue could be, because I have an internet when connecting to the router and I can access the router via my public IP.

Trying to connect to the router (via 192.168.50.1) gives "ERR_ADDRESS_UNREACHABLE" error in Chrome. Trying to connect to any local devices gives "ERR_CONNECTION_RESET" error.

Did you try http://www.asusrouter.com (from local network)? Maybe you changed in settings the access from http to https?

Changing settings for accessing the router from HTTP / HTTPS would only affect how router is accessed. My issue is that I cannot access router with local IP or any other device in the network via local IP.

Hi @Nesuprantu ,

Thank you for contacting us.

To troubleshoot your network connection issue, please try the following steps:

  1. Restart devices: Restart your router and computer to clear the devices' cache and re-establish the network connection.
  2. Check IP settings: Please ensure your computer's IP address is set to obtain automatically or manually set to an IP address in the same subnet as your router.
  3. Clear browser cache: Clear your browser's cache and cookies to remove old network settings. Try using a different browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Edge) to see if the problem is with the browser.
  4. Turn off VPN or proxy: If you are using a VPN or proxy server, please temporarily turn it off to see if it resolves the issue.
  5. Check router firewall: Please ensure your router's firewall is not blocking access to the management page. You can try temporarily disabling the firewall and see if you can connect normally.
  6. Factory reset (last resort): If none of the above methods work, you can try resetting your router to factory settings. Please note that this will erase all information you have previously configured on the router, so we recommend that you back up important settings first.

Thank you.

Try this: https://www.asusrouter.com:8443

In the past I changed the home LAN access to router from http to https and the result was that I cannot access anymore the WebGUY. I had to load the backup file to restore the initial status. Later on I found the info about the port.

Maybe will work also with http, but not sure: http://www.asusrouter.com:8443
