RT-BE92U - Malicious Sites Blocking is blank despite notifications and 288 count

Anyone else seeing this bug...

Malicious Sites Blocking shows nothing in the table of sites it's blocked. Even if you export, you get nothing. It says it's blocked 288. I keep getting notifications from the mobile app saying it's blocked something again and I can't tell what it is. I fear it's a legit site and I need to clear it. I can't tell however what it is.

Probably a total coincidence, but I spotted constant attempts to break into my router the other day. I've killed external access but this disadvantages certain features. The source IP's seemed dodgy when I looked up who owned them. Captcha saving the day, as well as my complex password. Although I do wish they'd integrate some form of MFA.

This doesn't look like an authentic TREND MICRO page.

Check that you are running the correct ASUS WRT firmware.

Well that’s what it looks like on the RT-BE92U firmware 3.0.0.6.102_38962.

In case it’s not clear, that is a “focused cut-out”. The Trend Micro logo appears at the bottom right corner but was irrelevant to my point. The main purpose is to show the event log is empty.

You should be seeing every instance that was blocked. You might try clearing the database cache to see if there are simply too many instances to record the details. Once you delete all instances, run a new scan and let the collection of details begin fresh again.

This looks like a UI bug in the RT-BE92U firmware where the count updates but the blocked sites list doesn’t populate. A few practical steps:

  1. Update your router firmware to the latest version if you haven’t already—sometimes these display bugs are fixed in patches.

  2. Export logs via the mobile app or web interface after each block notification; check timestamps to correlate with activity.

  3. Enable logging to a Syslog server if your router supports it—this gives a detailed record of blocked URLs even if the table is blank.

  4. Consider network segmentation and keep external access off for security until the firmware fix, since unauthorized attempts are concerning.

  5. Report the issue to ASUS support with your firmware version and screenshots; they can confirm if it’s a known bug.

This way you can track blocked sites safely even while the interface bug persists.
