Hi!
We have three Asus RT-AC1900U routers which I am trying to minimize EMF smog/radiation and balancing this to the point where we get the necessary network performance, but not more.
The basic configuration is 2.4 GHz, Legacy, bandwith 20 MHz.
"Pro" settings is OFDM 54, DTIM interval 255, Beacon interval 1000, TX Bursting Disabled, Tx power adjustment "Power Saving".
The connection is approx 95% of the time fine with media streaming, but with higher loads as downloading/updating software the connection disconnects and connects on and off. So that's why I wrote "stumbling". This is with one device connected only. To be honest I have no clue as to why it behaves like this, but my questions go to the adjusted DTIM- and Beacon intervals, and the Tx power adjustment set to power saving.
Could anyone please help me out?
Thanks,
Hekja

Ok. Think I got it. DTIM interval at 255 with Beacon interval at 1000 ms means a DTIM interval every 4 min and 15 seconds. So way to much. Have set DTIM to 3 with Beacon interval still at 1000 ms and have not experienced any disconnections after several downloads/updates.
