Is it possible to use a Asus TB3 card with a Tuf Gaming Z790-Plus?

Building this machine shortly...currently have the TB4 card but wondering if using a Asus TB3 card could work with this MB. Rather than trying to source down the NVM31 downgrade tool. If so...any specific Asus card recommendations?

According to the ThunderboltEX 3-TR Card Compatible Model List, the ThunderboltEX 3-TR is not supported by the Z790 series motherboards.
We still recommend that you refer to the link I previously provided, as well as consult the TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI user manual on page 1-21 for guidance on selecting and installing a Thunderbolt™ I/O card.
