Aspect control greyed out on monitor

Neosw
Star I

Hello all,

I have recently purchased an Asus ProArt PA248CRV which as a 1980*1200 resolution (16:10 aspect ratio).
Everything is working fine when connected to MacBook Air and MacBook pro. Same with Windows laptops that output 1980*1080 resolution, black band appear on top and on the bottom of the screen.

I would like to also use this display with an Xbox series S.
The console only output one of these 3 resolutions:
1080p (1980*1080), 720P or 460P.

When using auto detected resolution, the console use 1080p, the monitor OSD do not allow to change the aspect control in the "image section".

If I modified the resolution to 460p or 720p, aspect control is available and I can choose to have "dot to dot" or "1to1" aspect ratio. The problem is that in 720p the image appear fussy in  "1to1" and too small in "dot to dot".

I have already updated the firmware of the display from "103" to "106" but this had no effect.
I have already used two HDMI cables and also try with the two HDMI inputs of the screen.
I have also tried to set the output of the console from "automatic" to "HDMI" or "DVI" without effect on the OSD.

I think the issue is linked to the fact that 1080p is recognized as native resolution for the display where it should not.

Do you know if the team responsible for Asus firmware can be contacted ?

They are multiple talk about this issue of 16/10 Asus display but no one get fixed
like "Xbox Series S + Asus PA248QV = Stretched Image 😭 Help!" on this forum, or posts on reddit.

In the information page of the OSD I got in 1080p:
"
HDMI-2

1920 x 1080_60Hz

HDR OFF

PA248CRV

MCM106
"

So the display correctly detects that it is connected to a 1080p source but still not allow "aspect control" to be used!

Best regards,

Maximilien
