Volte, vowifi is the basis. And it should work.

VoLTE is the most requested feature that everyone has been asking for.
The main thing that ASUS seems to mess up the most is full carrier support. From missing network bands to not being compatible with VoLTE and/or 5G with some carriers.
I hope that the current ROG Phone 5 or whatever the next phone is will be fully compatible with T-Mobile.

Especially, since GSM and 3G will get phased out within next few years in many places and ASUS builds and advertises phones to last a while.

Rog 3's latest ota enabled volte and vowifi on an Russian carrier called MTS today by the way
It's stated here in the changelog :
