[Wireless Router] Why manually clean MAP rule?

If you are using a specific ethernet connection type like JPNE v6plus or OCN, your ISPs (Internet Service Provider) may automatically update your MAP rule to make sure internet connectivity of your device or prevent unauthorized access under the following conditions:

1. Switch ethernet connection. (Ex: 2 wires of v6plus).

2. Change specific connection type. (Ex: v6plus to OCN).

3. Device has not accessed the internet for too long.

However, due to the regulation of ISP, you may not be able to access the internet in 5 – 10 mins to update the MAP rule.

We understand some of you might want to skip this and get back to the internet earlier.

Cleaning the MAP rule manually could help save the time waiting and reconnect to your internet immediately.

You can easily click “Clean MAP” button to trigger this feature. And the button can be found at WAN > Internet Connection > Basic Config > WAN Connection Type after logging to our Web GUI.

*Please note that this button only shows up if you are using a particular connection type.
