[NUC] Unable to Install Management Engine Consumer Driver Due to Fatal Error during Installation

Resolution

Fatal errors when updating or installing drivers due to software or driver conflicts.

To mitigate this error, try the below steps.

1. Create a system restore point.
2. Enter safe mode and install the Management Engine Consumer Driver.
   1. Download the Management Engine Consumer Driver for Windows® 10 & Windows 11
   2. Unzip the downloaded driver
   3. Open the folder that was created named: me-consumer-win10-19h1-20h1-12.0.70.1648
   4. Double-click SetupME.exe
   5. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver

1. In case the error still persists, try a clean boot and install the Management Engine Consumer Driver.

If the above steps do not resolve the issue, try a clean installation of the operating system. Remember to back-up your essential files.
