[Notebook] Copilot Key - Introduction

Copilot - an AI-powered smart companion
Copilot is an AI-powered intelligent chatbot launched by Microsoft, backed by OpenAI's GPT-4. With Microsoft Copilot, you can use simple and natural prompts to help you improve work efficiency.

1. How to get Copilot

Update your Windows to Windows 11 version 23H2 and the Copilot icon will appear in the Windows 11 work bar, replacing the original Cortana.

2. Location of the Copilot key

The location of the Copilot key is shown in the figure below.

3. Enable Copilot on Windows

Click the Copilot key on the keyboard to enable Copilot.

※ If you don't have a Copilot key, you can use the shortcut Windows + C or click the Copilot icon in the task bar to enable the Copilot function.

Copilot will be displayed on the right side of the computer, Copilot supports text, voice, pictures and other chat methods.

※ Copilot requires you to sign in to your Microsoft account.

Copilot not only supports chat features in Windows, but also supports applications such as Edge, Microsoft 365, etc.
Copilot is a Microsoft application, please refer to Frequently asked questions about Copilot | Microsoft Learn

4. Cannot use the Copilot function

Users whose IP address is China Mainland/European Union (not all)/Russia/Belarus cannot use the Copilot function, as shown in the following figure.

Please refer to the table below for details:

The availability of the Copilot service is limited depending on the country/region and IP location selected during OOBE.

  • If a country/region within the EU (not all) is selected during OOBE, the operating system will not have Copilot, regardless of the IP address.
  • If a country/region outside the EU region is selected during OOBE, but the IP address is in China Mainland/European Union (not all)/Russia/Belarus, the system will display a service unavailable message.

※ OOBE is the screen you will encounter when you enter Windows for the first time, as shown below.
