[Device Group] How to utilize Device Group for network policy settings - BRT Series

You can add multiple devices to a self-defined device group and assign the same network policy. It’s easier to manage multiple devices connected to your network by a Device Group, instead of specifying each device individually.

 

The following steps explain how to apply a custom device group network policy.

 1. Adding a self-defined device group:

     1.1  Go to Permission Management >> Device Group

    1.2  Click Add Device Group to add your self-defined device group

     1.3  Click Apply to confirm your settings

2.  Add devices to your managed device list:

     2.1  Go to Permission Management >> Devices

     2.2  Click Add Device to add your device and designate the desired device group

     2.3   Click Apply to confirm your settings

 

The following setting steps explain how to apply a custom device group network polices

1.  After adding devices to a group, you can set up the following network polices for them:

     1.1   Access Control - Time Scheduling

      1.2   Firewall - App Patrol

      1.3  Firewall - Web Content Filter

       1.4   QoS - Bandwidth Limiter

     Note: From the above example , each device inside a self-defined group can utilize upload and download speeds up to 10Mbps , provided there is sufficient WAN bandwidth.
