Hi and Merry Christmas to all.
I am an old man that has no grandchildren to help me with this problem.
I have a Asus Prime B450M-A motherboard. Two X 16gb ddr4 and Ryzen 5 2600 X. There is an 8 pin EATX and a 24 pin power supply on motherboard.
Thermalright TG-850 power supply unit has no cables in it, I have to attach cables. On the PSU there are plugins for the motherboard,but the cable for the 24 pin power has to attachments on PSU end. One has 18pin the other 10 pins. 4 CPU 4 PCI-E and 6 SATA + one 12v with min 600w cable. There isn't one on the main board. I have plugged in cables in different slots, each time the CAS fan and CPU fan turn on but not the PSU fan. The yellow light fades in and out when cables are in a specific order. I have got to the point where the cas and cpu fans work,the psu fan I don't know if it comes on in same way as car motor fan,when it gets hot?? No matter what I try,the F'ing thing won't boot. Can someone please help this old git and tell me where the cables attach from PSU to motherboard and how to boot the bloody thing. I live in Denmark and can not afford a new or newer computer. I have the tower and 2 TB harddrive windows 10. So I replaced the motherboard,CPU and PSU. Look forward to hearing from a helpful person. Trying to build my own PC isn't as straightforward as I thought. Thanks guys Happy Holidays
