Pictures can't go to sd card??

I have a ZenPad. Why can't I move my photos to sd card. Have tried and tried, but their is nothing when I go look at the sd card. NotGoogle photos, Drive or Gallery will work.  I have hundreds of pictures. Why buy the card?
