How to Improve Spotify Streaming on Asus Zenfone?

Hi everyone,
I'm using Spotify on my Asus Zenfone, but lately, I've noticed that the app sometimes buffers while streaming songs, even with a strong Wi-Fi connection. I've already tried reinstalling the app and clearing the cache, but the issue persists.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Could it be a compatibility issue with my phone, or is there another solution I could try? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance! 😊

Buffering issues on Spotify, even with a strong Wi-Fi connection, can stem from several factors. Here are some solutions you can try:

1. Check Spotify's Server Status

  • Sometimes, Spotify’s servers might be experiencing issues. You can check their status on sites like Downdetector or Spotify's official status page. Also, use the latest Spotify mod apk.

2. Optimize Network Settings

  • Switch Wi-Fi Bands: If you're using a dual-band router, connect to the 5GHz network instead of 2.4GHz for faster speeds.
  • Reboot Your Router: Sometimes, resetting your router can resolve connectivity issues.
  • Avoid Network Congestion: Disconnect other devices using the same Wi-Fi to ensure Spotify gets sufficient bandwidth.

3. Adjust Spotify's Streaming Quality

  • Go to Settings > Audio Quality, and lower the streaming quality to "Normal." This reduces buffering, especially if the connection speed fluctuates.

4. Enable/Disable Hardware Acceleration

  • Some devices might have issues with hardware acceleration. Disable it in Spotify's settings or enable it if it’s off.

5. Allow Background Data Usage

  • Ensure Spotify is allowed to use background data:
    • Android Settings > Apps > Spotify > Data Usage > Enable "Background Data."

6. Disable Battery Optimization

  • On Asus Zenfone, go to Settings > Battery > Battery Optimization, and set Spotify to "Not optimized." Battery optimizations can interfere with app performance.

7. Update Device Software

  • Ensure your Asus Zenfone is running the latest firmware. Compatibility issues can arise with outdated software.

8. Test on Mobile Data

  • Switch to mobile data to determine if the issue is specific to your Wi-Fi. If it works fine, there might be a router or ISP configuration issue.

9. Reset Network Settings

  • Resetting your network settings can resolve persistent connectivity problems:
    • Settings > System > Reset Options > Reset Wi-Fi, Mobile & Bluetooth.

10. Contact Spotify Support

  • If none of these solutions work, the issue could be specific to Spotify on Asus devices. Reach out to Spotify support with your phone model and firmware details.
