Asus confirmed that Android 10 update for 5Z started rolling out, I haven't received the update so far.
Do I need to factory reset the device before I go for Android 10 update, recommended ?

resetting not recommended/important, but you can reset if you want and backup your data before reset.

Today i have called to customer care, they've confirmed that android 10 not released yet. 111 update was latest. Wait for official release.
