dick.m.hanssonTry greenify for hibernating apps. Regarding the 'hard to believe thing', it may be surprising for you to know but almost all devices running A10 including the pixel series, one plus, samsung flagships are facing significant battery drain. Even 6z ROG2 are facing faster battery drain. So its not a '5z only' problem. Google is improving things with every monthly patch and Asus is also taking feedback. So its just a matter of time battery fix is rolled out. Keep patience.https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/38845#Comment_38845
I find it extremely hard to understand/accept that "Asus cannot do anything for" battery drain. There has to be SW interface layers between Android and the specific HW for example Asus 5z.
Anyway - My 5z was good for almost two full working days before the upgrade (using Android 9) and now I'm below 30% after 6 hours of minimum usage. I have removed background usage for all apps that can be controlled so I don't see what more I can do. Should I do a re-install process for my phone? How would you in that case recommend me to do it?

aamod.v8Thanks for the update. Guess I'm not patient enough. 🙂 So there will be monthly patches for my 5z for a while if I understand you correctly then?https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/38859#Comment_38859

Yes we are in last phase of official support. Support of 5z may conclude by November 2020. We got 2 major Android updates within stipulated time (P and Q) as promised by Asus and only security patches with some minor updates will be delivered this year till support officially ends.
