Zoom functionality for still pictures limited

When l view a picture I'm able to zoom into it. But it is not possible to zoom into all areas. Especially objects located at edge of picture can't be zoomed in / enlarged. Please rectify. Otherwise, I'm very contented with this device.

It occurs when using the picture viewer out of the camera mode (by clicking on the icon at the bottom left next to the shutter button).
I have no problem zooming in to all parts of a picture that I just took via this icon.

Pay attention to the upper left and right edges: the key 6 with ^ and key 9 with ( on top each. ^ and ( are visible in normal view, but unavailable for zooming in. That's the problem. Is it possible for you?
Just zoom to that corner and tap once to uncover whole place by hiding information bars. Tap again to restore previous view.

I would not say, it behaves absolutely standard and intuitively.

Not if you used to have LG G4 before. No additional tapping required.
How did it behave on LG G4? Did the overlay auto hide after 1-2 seconds?
