Phone overheats and lags due to discord

When i open the discord app ,the app starts consuming battery at a higher rate due to which the phone overheats.it is even worse when i play a game ,the game becomes choppy too

Hi, I am using discord since I am using ROG Phone 3. I don't feel such issue.
Can you confirm the software version?
Go to settings => System => About => Software information
I have also update discord but whenever i am in voice chat while playing and i pull down the notification bar the game freezes and the screen stops responding to touch .after sometime the screen starts responding
