Phone heats up and battery drains quickly after 2017.2004.063-20200407 update

The phone was working without any issues till the update. Now it heats up very much and battery drains a lot quicker than usual. Kindly explain why this is Asus, else you'll see me in consumer court.

I am with you bro
Download Kaspersky battery life app and clear the apps which are running in the background. Some times the apps that are running in the background drain the battery a lot
I am alao using Kaspersky battery life app for almost a year . Phone heating got reduced very much after it. Especially battery drain at idle state.
The problem is the update. Fix the battery draining overheating issue. I'm not installing shit.
I dont want "reduced" phone heat issue. Phone was not heating at all before the update. I did not expect Asus to do stuff like this.
@Asus tell me how to downgrade from this shit upgrade to previous versions or I'm going to file a complaint today.
Battery was at 100% last night and the phone was getting quite hot during charging. Today when I woke up the phone was really hot (it was not plugged in) and battery level is at 64%
Are you guys mining bitcoin in my phone or something?
I have also same problem. Battery drainage is fast and over heating.. after updating latest updates....

I am trying to downgrade to previous version, but could not remember the old version number. Try asus website /in/Phone/ZenFone-Max-Pro-M1-ZB601KL/HelpDesk_BIOS/ ( I cannot post links yet)
I am downloading Version WW-16.2017.2002.061 now but I think the old version was Version WW-16.2017.1912.060

I tied to downgrade but it is not possible it seems. It says cannot install firmware as newer version has been already installed.
You can't downgrade versions directly in the way you tried.
Hey you don't have anything against them to take them to a consumer court... They say before the update that If you are familiar and like using A9 please don't update and stay on A9. It's a very subtle but a nice statement by a company for saving their assets...
After a new update, you might feel the device is warm. You can wait for couple of days’ post update. Also, to be noted that phones heat up under intensive usage such as gaming, prolong use of camera or under extreme temperature.
Please follow below steps may improve battery backup:
1. Enable “Power saver” (Settings > Power management)
2. Close apps that are not used (Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, etc.)
3. Adjust sleep time and brightness (Settings > Display)
4. Boost memory when you see memory consumes is high with no app running,
5. check for background running applications, stop/disable unwanted apps, you can manage apps from auto-start manager.
