Asus zenfone max pro m1 screen lock issue

I am facing this lock screen issue, pressing power button shows the lock screen. when i enter the pattern the screen goes blank.
If i try to open using fingerprint it opens.
How to resolve this issue?

could not unlock using the pattern, using finger print phone gets unlocked.
