What you are talking about thats called "PUP" or Potentially Unwanted Programs such as apps from Unknown Sources.
But what about the "Web Shield" protection?? Don't you consider a phishing attempt occassionally happens through unwanted pop-up openings on your web browsing app such as Chrome during surfing through different web links, which could easily collect your Web browsing histories or stored cookies? Thats hazardous for any device, not just Android.
