Zenfone 7 and VoLTE after 3G shutdowns

So countries are now shutting down their 3G networks, Australia has begun this. I recently got a zenfone 7 because I really like the specs, not realizing that I would have volte issues. I can't make or receive phone calls. 

Is there any official word from ASUS regarding volte support with the zenfone 7? It's a 5G phone so I'm surprised volte doesn't work.

The Zenfone 7 was not officially released in Australia, which may affect its support for the local operator's VOLTE.

To enable VOLTE, you can attempt to activate it by entering *#*#3642623344#*#* in your phone app. Navigate to the Wi-Fi calling option and try enabling it.
