========================================
Hi, I discovered wifi reception issue since yesterday. There is no change in my house at all, and router also no change. But all of sudden, my ROG PHONE 2 cannot take wifi signal in my room (which is working fine before yesterday night)
Then i try to do a WiFi test using ASUS diag tool and seems it's showing problem.
Can someone help to do the diag and see whether i lost 2 antennas out of 4 (there should be 4 wifi antennas in our ROG PHONE 2)
enter diag tool by go to calculator app, type .12345+=
the choose wifi test (need to have 5Ghz hotpot to test, i.e. another Android phone tethering 5Ghz wifi)

It would be different between 2.4gz and 5gz due to the wavelength.
2.4gz will cover further distance than 5gz.
* What happens if you go near to the hotspot?
* You can take off the phone cover (if you have one);
* Restarted your phone?
* Toggle air plane mode
* Use ROG as the hotspot and see if the other pickups up the 5ghz signal.
* Finally, reset network settings and try it then;

actually, i've tried all of these today.
The signal strength is fine when near the router/hotspot. but when walking away it will degrade quickyly the dropped. I've done the comparison with another android phone(oneplus 6). Walk and bring both phone to check the connectivity

I am using 5gz signal router and I am on the 2nd floor from the router with signal strenth of 66dbm as oppose to same room.
It is hard to investigate if you have 2 phones; If you have a third phone, which is able to provide hotspots, use that too so it can be narrowed down.

Otherwise, the only thing to suggest is factory reset your phone.
If that doesnt work, then you would need to visit service centre.
If other people can provide suggestions too, that would help and appreciated.

not a solution but thanks for your reply. Will try something else myself or convince myself to get use with it and take 2.4Ghz wifi for the rest of my rog phone life
