As you have had the Aerocooler 3, 5 and 6 in your hands, the first two have a clever design and a sloppy / sabotaged for the ROG 6.
2 USB on Aerocooler 3, so definitely an internal circuit to separate power and other signals.
Aerocooler 5, 5 contacts and a gap to let the cable pass, the contacts power and control the fan, USB of the rog5 does not use signals for the fan, all USB functions remain available.
Aeocooler 6, 1 USB, total absence of official specifications on the USB functions retained, all users discovered after purchase that only the charging functions were retained.
Aeocooler 6 for ROG5, all the journalists had the information that there will be a model for the ROG5 and indicated a use of the 5 contacts of the ROG5, this is not the case and there is only USB with the same limitations.

🙂Never trust GSMARENA, after photo brand favoritism belied by their own photos, outlandish ratings and reviews on audio, turns out they don't test, deliberately lie or write without checking about Asus as you can see with the text below this page.
