Thanks for the reply but tbh we waited a long time now and it always got put off. I know it ain't your fault but this can't just be it.

You know, I didn't realize just how bad the issue really is. I have a Zenfone 8 which is essentially out of support. So I wanted to unlock to enable custom OS that will still get security updates. However, I realize now that all these people have Zenfone 9, 10, Rog, etc... their phones are much newer, and they can't unlock. Ooooph. If I just purchased a Zenfone I would be quite upset...

Therefore, I will advise everyone against Asus and Huawei phones because it is impossible to unlock the bootloader on them.
