OK, i downgraded and pulled back my data.
still no service even though my sim is detected
any suggestions,

The failure of the SIM card is unfortunately frequent on the Rog5: (often associated with the failure of the fingerprint reader, does yours work?
Test the following points and put the result below each one;
Test SIM1 and Sim2 with the calculator .12345+=

Test the sim on slot 2

If you have another Sim on another test phone there on Sim1 and 2 of Rog 5

Remove the PIN code from the SIM card (there must not be any) and re-test this SIM on the SIM slots of the ROG 5 (already seen this bug several times on the ROG 5)

If all the tests have failed, it must be repaired 😞

Well i think im zooming in on the problem
when entering phone info through (*#*#*#*#4636#*#*) i see that radio power is off i turn it on and get out.. moments later it get turns off alone again...
is there any solution for this?
i tried your suggestion and phone says sim card is working well.

iv'e done them all, sorry i was unclear.
1) tested both sim1 and sim2 with the sim once in that slot and once in slot2
2) tested sim on slot 2
3) i have another sim, doesn't work on my phone to but test says everything ok
4) no PIN code on my sim to begin with..

i do think the problem has something to do with what i mentioned in my comment above
