Can't download MMS

My ROG 5 will not send nor receive MMS messages.

When I try and download a received message it says "downloading" but never does.
If I try and send one it gives up after a while and says "Not sent, tap to try again".

It's not a SIM/APN problem, as the sim works fine when I put it into my old phone.

I see that a number of people here are having this problem. Is there a solution coming?
