Redmagic, blackshark,legion are garbage in updates
If you're going for a gaming phone Rog series by far has the most stable and updated os, however slow it may be compared to a normal flagship but all other gaming phones fare much worse
For example Rog phone 2 is on July 2021 patch and gets an ota every 2-2.5 months
Red magic 3 (launched alongside rog 2) is dead on June 2020 patch (it's last update) basically a broken and outdated android 10 build
OnePlus has a lot of issues too after recent oppofication the ui is purely Chinese like cos if that's up your alley

And also OnePlus is broken from the time they released the 7 series lineup, buggy updates and very late updates and now with colour os , its gonna suck even more

Rog Series only Provides 1 Major Android Update

ROG 1 - Android 8 to Android 9

ROG 2 - Android 9 to Android 10

ROG 3 - Android 10 to Android 11

ROG 5 - Android 11 to Android 12(highly possible)

Just forgot about any other major update

Uhh guys will get only security updates and some bug fix upto 2 years or may be 3 years

ROG 2 users still waiting for Android 11

Also after 1-2 months ROG2

2 YEARS will be completed

So Guys Don't waste Your Energy asking for next Android Update

While this logic is quite sound there is still a lot of hope for the Rog3 users getting an Android 12 update, main reason being it actually lets ASUS have more ressources for work. Google said they want to integrate an automatic update system that takes care of security updates and such via the play store. This means ASUS does not have to make updates for security updates anymore and can focus on their other phones, it would be much worse having to maintain the Rog3 all the time.
If it wasnt for that, you probably would be right. While it doesnt confirm Android 12 for Rog3, it certainly gives a lot of hope as it is a win/win situation. Customers are always safe and secure and ASUS doesnt have to invest ressources into making security updates over and over again.
