MVEarlier it was fixed, by since Android 9.0, even magisk can't help you. I can't use apps like phonepe and apps provided by banks if I root my device.https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/145155#Comment_145155
I thought safety net covered most of the banking apps. Some apps like google pay still have the ways to detect root, but mostly safety net is working since the days I had galaxy note 5.

nightmaster552No, I wasn't saying that root can fix everything. Since, I'll be flashing the whole firmware again, would it be possible to gain back L1 DRM? Since, even if I go to service center, it's the possible thing they'll also be doing. Moreover, they're gonna keep the device for eons.https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/145155#Comment_145155
My point wasnt that root = fix all your problems, infact rooting does mostly cause downgrade. My point being not all phones are messed up, the DRM thing happened for many phones, it wasnt exlusive to the Rog3 phones, you just got unlucky. And to answer your question, no the DRM thing never happened to me.

himverma2012I'm not sure about that. I don't know if sacrificing warranty is worth for a solution that will only maybe work.https://zentalk.asus.com/en/discussion/comment/145229#Comment_145229
