Why can't I use Aero Active Cooler II with ROG Phone 3?

I was very disappointed when I found out that I can't use my Aero Active Cooler II with my new ROG Phone 3.
It even detects the cooler and asks me to use the newer model of it.
If it's a wise way for the company to earn more money, it's a pretty cheap one TBH.
I hope they can fix this with some software fixes, otherwise it's just sad.

because the venthole isnt at the same spot as on previous model, so basicially the cooler wouldnt cool anything, even tho its very debatable if the rog3 version even works properly to begin with.
