Can you try to see if its a proper fit.
Also check with a different Port, there is a side port on the left.
Can you check with a different earphone?

I am also facing issue regarding usb type c port (bottom) during call, suddenly some sparkling sound appears( Even though type c dongle is connected properly) and i a not able to hear the person on call.
