Disable radio on parent node in mesh network?

Hello, i have a 4 node mesh network with an RT-AX82U as the parent node and then 3 Xt9 AX7800s as the children.  All children routers are connected via hardwire to the parent.  For some reason, when devices connect to the radio of the parent 82U, they are unable to send and receive data.  When they switch over to the children 7800s, everything works fine.  Is there a way to turn just off the radio on the parent hub and leave the wireless on the children working?  Or is there a function similar to bind where i can just set devices to never bind with the parent hub but still bind to the 3 children?

To disable the radio on your RT-AX82U parent node in a mesh network, access the router's settings via its web interface. Look for the wireless settings section, where you can turn off the 2.4 GHz and/or 5 GHz radios
