Z790 GAMING WIFI7 and 4090 problems

I have been having trouble with this board running my 4090 is this board recommended for the 4090 or would you be recommending a better board for that card it doesn't seem like this motherboard has enough power for it and I've noticed a bunch of issues running my 4090 with it. What would you recommend the max graphics card before this specific board and would you recommend going with the Maximus hero instead. Can this board safely run 1200 watts power supply
