Will they tell me what was wrong with my motherboard?

My motherboard stopped working so i did an RMA through asus. a few days ago i got an email that it was fixed and is being sent back, but they never said what was wrong with it. it will arrive on July 31. will there be something in the box that will tell me what was wrong? or how do i figure out what was wrong.
