Proximity sensor not working

Asus zenfone max pro m1 after pie update, the proximity sensor is not working when recieving a call.... Screen stays on...

Check the SIMMI test functionality for Proximity sensor. Procedure as Below.

1)Open Calculator

2) type .12345+= (if it is first time you visit this test, it will ask for different access to SIMMI test click on Allow like 3 to 4 times)

3) Choose Single test and scroll down and select Proximity Test and follow the procedure.

If you see 3 tick marks after test then it is pass. You can Factory reset the device so that it will work fine.

If test get failed, visit nearest service centre and get the device checked.

Just activate auto brightness and use for few hours then disable auto brightness your problem will get solve and simmi test the proximity sensor always pass it's software issue no one can do anything only the software team can improve it.
