as the title says there is no 7.1 option , there is only 5.1, stereo and quad speaker option. i contacted asus through email and they say me to wait, i emailed them 5 times since last 10 days but no solution. my pc is ROG Strix GL10DH
GL10DH-IN024T.

What do you mean?of course there's 7.1 surround sound. If your PC doesn't natively support it yet, use FXsound audio and you'll instantly have it as an option, granted you can find the drivers for your model. Up and running on my G series. It's not the extra speakers that make the difference, it's the doubled bitrate and hz that make it sound night and day from standard 5.1

*Ah,sorry. You were looking for official Asus support. My mistake.

Asus keep saying my pc support 7.1 and this is probably a lie. my pc has 4 audio jack , that's how much is needed for 7.1 audio.

So apparently,it's less of a lie and more of a "lack of revealing the whole truth" situation. Your PC does in fact support 7.1 but only through headphones and apparently only with DTS: headphone X or you can also use Sonic Studio from what I've read. I haven't seen anything that suggests this PC supports native, 7.1 through speakers or any surround sound system. Apparently only headphones which I can't imagine that being advantageous when headphones typically have 2 main drivers. Sorry man.

Asus guide says this support analog 7.1 ,read this user manual's chapter 2 connecting microphone and speaker section https://rog.asus.com/desktops/mid-tower/rog-strix-gl10dh-series/helpdesk_manual/?model2name=gl10dh

and then there is no option to select 7.1 from pc's software. look at file from my first message.

this is false marketing for sure.

also you don't need to be sorry.
