Why don't you use the aerocooler if you have it? Some type-c to 3.5mm converter are proprietary like OnePlus. Buy the universal type-c to 3.5mm converter it's cheaper.

Type c to 3.5mm doesn't work on side port, i have tried various brands and none worked. You should look for soundcard, it works flawlessly.
