My battery is draining at 25%/h with default settings in pubg mobile armory settings and game at smooth extreme. Before it used to consume 15%/h which is pretty normal but now its taking battery like a waterpump. I don't know what caused this battery drain but i am worried that my battery has degraded overtime or its just pubg or asus update that made my battery life so bad. My pubg is lagging at settings that were sent by the mod in the forum so i play at default settings and still consume so much battery. Whats going on please help. Here is proof of my battery drain.

  • It drops lower than 40 fps with battery saving settings sent by mods and same with default and advanced settings. So much fps drop. I want asus to please look into it.

  • With this battery consumption i only get battery backup of 3 hours while playing pubg starting from 100%-0%. WHAT IS THIS, IT DOESNT LOOK LIKE 6000 MAH BATTERY. Asus please help me.

  • I would like to suggest you to first empty your phone with apps which you need maybe at some point of time but have been there for long without any use . Also I hope you have turned off the unclok with fingerprint option - pick up to show indicator. Sometimes wallpaper apps consume more juice from the battery than any other , if you are done with you wallpapers settings you might try to uninstall it after downloading some .

  • See dnt go for any pubg settings , trust me after the 18 April update ,the gaming performance has enhanced a lot . Go to armory crate - Xmode off , CPU - 2.96 , temperature - normal . In game pubg settings - smooth , extreme . Disable all features regarding fps drop or anti analysis under graphic section . Use any of the blue zone options , but try to stick with the default one as sometimes the newly added makes your game choppy . Last but not the least use colourful , basic , movie any colour scheme and try to shift to one which is more comfortable to use with , by the way mine is colourful . Thankyou I hope these things might help you brother .

  • Also for time being try to uninstall these battery tester apps too , and just believe that your battery will work better , which might actually help you rather than tracing and getting disappointed . Also if you want to play for hours , I assume during lockdown you can shift to airplane mode as you need not to travel or might hang around with frnds , this will too help you mate . Also try changing theme sometimes might help? . Thankyou and best of luck.

  • It used to work good before but now it consumes more battery. That is unusual, i dont need jugaad mere bhai, i need a solution and a reason why is this happening now and not before. Is it battery degradation? Also the battery app is counting time and giving data based on time it consume 1%/time so its not consuming my battery and also i must worry if there is something wrong in my phone's battery. I need real help for my phone. Whats causing this mass battery drop. Also it does not lag but only sometimes in lobby it drops to constant 40 fps while in classic waiting lobby. Stop playing tdm mode and go in a classic match without xmode, you will know what fps drop is. I bet you have not yet played classic in pubg thats why you're not facing any lags.

  • Brother , I just wanted to help you that's it . If something is making your battery last for long then why not , else I would suggest you to get it checked by one of the asus service center where you will be able to track the real threat . Haha, ok this will sound soo self praising , but I'm a competitive player where the game laggs like hell in custom rooms , also last season I've played around 300 matches maybe more in classic mode , Ace star 6 . Trust me I have not faced any issue . We can just create a room and play together , I bet you I'll not even see a single frame drop , classics 0 percnt . Rest depends on what you trust and what not , things should get better for you anyhow , all the best . Thankyou

  • Dont care about classic ratings mate. Am a supporter igl of a tier 1 custom team. Also talking about rooms, they won't lag because it dont have 100 players roaming in waiting room like classic and customs bruh. Anyways i made this thread to know if something is wrong with my phone not for solutions of how to make my battery last longer, i already know what makes my battery last longer and what not. Good luck

  • Can you please record while playing with game genie stats visible. Maybe I can see if something is wrong.

  • You can't expect a graphic heavy game to run while battery saver mode is on!

Hey, Asus Family ther's a good news for you guys, I think I've found the solution for your queries!

Now, Jot down what I say on a paper & follow them as I did(Read until the end):

Part 1 ( You can skip this if you're a geek)

-Turn off unwanted services like location, bluetooth, network(Wi-fi,Mobile Data) until you really need them. Keep an eye on these services.

-Turn off notifications and restrict background data usage from app settings of unwanted and not so important apps for you like games, FB, Insta etc...You really don't need them I guess.

-Turn off auto-brightness and set brightness according to your surroundings manually. Lower brightness will give you even more battery.

-Set low display sleep time like upto 1 minute or 2 minute if you really need it!

-Turn off haptic feedback, touch to vibrate/tones on keyboard and others. Turn off lock and unlock sounds. Turn off touch sounds. I think you really don't need them. Turn off all unwanted sounds from sound settings.

-Keep your homescreens as simple as possible and fill em'up only with your most frquent apps and widgets...don't try to get all the widgets up and running for you always on the homescreen.

Part 2 ( Mandatory for every user, even non-Asus, Sorry only for Asus, this is Zentalk right!🤣)

Here are even more important things to save battery:

-Turn off 'Hey Google' or 'Ok Google' from 'VoiceMatch' settings because you don't need the mic always running for you.

-Don't use a battery saver until you really need them(You'll only need it if battery is low). Battery saver reduces clock speed and I know many people use battery saver to do cpu and gpu heavy tasks with Battery Saver On, This increases strain on cpu and gpu and they run for a longer time for the same process without battery saver...This will drain your battery drastically. You can use battery saver only when your battery is low like 25-30% or can always use it if you don't perform heavy tasks on battery saver mode, it mostly only used for calls, texting messages, slight surfing and other basic but important things because you probably don't have your charger around all the time!

-Try to switch off unwanted gestures like all ' Zenmotion' gestures from 'System' in Settings and 'Smart Screen On' in Display settings etc... Until you really really need them!

    - After every Software/FOTA update from Asus 'wipe out the cache partition' from bootloader menu( Swith off your phone and Hold down Power+Volume down button until you see the Asus logo ,, now navigate using the Volume buttons and select using the power buttons)

-Last but not the least, Recalibrate your battery( Surf the web to find out how to Recalibrate

If still you are facing battery issues, then it's time to get a new battery! Or even a new device.
