Hi Alex52,Thanks for the feedback. I have looked at the RT BE88U and would buy it if only my tight budget would allow it. Unfortunately, I'm limited to less than $200, so I have to pass on the 88 even tho I would prefer it over the 82.

As of today, 11/26/2023, mine's still stuck at the same version from 05/11/2023 as stated in the OP. I'm sticking with the Merlin firmware as stated near the end of the thread - it's working like a charm.
