Zenfone 9 Bluetooth issues

Bought a zenfone 9 a few months ago, haven't been able to connect the Bluetooth to my car stereo. Never had any issues with other phones ever but cannot seem to get this to connect at all, been using an auxiliary cord but would rather BT any tips?
