This is apparently a “feature” of the ZenBook Pro Duo. The audio system just doesn’t push out any volume and it’s a Hartman-Kardon system. Very disappointing.
Have you gone through the BIOS settings to see if there is a function to enable/disable numlock on startup? I don’t know if the ZenBook Pro Duo has this feature or not, but it would be worth checking on.
