I tried but the firmware update file fails when i try to flash my bios.It tells me it's not a bios file.

The latest firmware BIOS 1601 fixed the issue for me also.Glad it finally has been fixed.

Nope i saw nothing noted about it so i doubt they fixed it specially since the issue is not being taken serious here on the forum and since they kept looking for ways to deny it i doubt those that work on the software even know about the bug.
